From Liechtenauer to Thibaut d'Anvers

Olivier Dupuis and the Guerriers d'Avalon organize for the seventh consecutive year a two days event on the figthing technics from modern to modern times.

This year, the workshops are given in memory of Philippe Errard, a member of HEMAC from it's beginning.

The seminar will take place on 25 to 26 februar 2012 at Schiltigheim, near Strasburg, in the sport's hall Exen, 9 rue des Pompiers.

This is an official HEMAC event.

Schedule

Workshops will be done in french or english; if necessary, a translation will be provided into english.

The following workshops are scheduled:

• long sword from Liechtenauer, by the Ardhame
• feints and retractions at the long sword and messer by the PEAMHE
• Introduction to the said treatise of Pedro de Heredia, by Olivier Delannoy
• Mix of Dancie and Thibaut d'Anvers by Yann Bauzin
• Introduction to Peloquin (sword and dagger) by Olivier Dupuis
• Staff of Paul Hector Mair by Pierre-Henry Bas
• Fighting in armor: from half-sword to one or two hands by Daniel Jacquet

Registration

Anybody interested by this seminar must reserved their place. The registration only include the participation to the workshops.

Registration fees :

• 50 euros ; reduced to 40 euros for anybody subscribing before the 31th of januar 2012!

  Accomodation options: A common bedding solution is still in study, however, let us informed if you intend to susbribe to this solution.

  Safety and required equipment

  Participators must ensure they possess the necessary equipment to take part in the many proposed events :

  • Clothing and sport shoes adapted to indoor use.
  • Wood or metal training weapons (no sharp weapon or decoration weapon; only weapons of the same type shall be used by training partners)
  • Protective gear are obviously highly recommended (fencing mask, groin guard, gloves, etc.) and could be mandatory for some workshops. Organizers can provide only a few training weapon or protective equipment; therefore you'd better manage to have your own.

  All unsafe or uncautious behaviour will immediatly result in the exclusion of the perpetrator from the workshop.
