Footworks and moving in european martial arts

Olivier Dupuis and the "Guerriers d'Avalon" organize for the sixth consecutive year a two days event on the figthing technics from medieval to modern times.

This year, the workshops will focus on the footworks and moving (forward, backward, to side, ...) in european martial arts from late medieval to modern times.

The seminar will take place on 13 to 14 march 2010 at Witternheim (between Strasbourg and Sélestat), in the sport's hall.

This is an official HEMAC event.

Schedule

Mostly workshops will be done in french; a translation will be provided in english or german.

Registration

Anybody interested by this seminar must reserved their place. The registration fee does will take into account the bedding, lunch and the Saturday evening convivial meal (more information soon).

Registration fees :

40 euros ;
55 euros including the Saturday evening diner ;
80 euros including Saturday evening dinar and bedding for the Saturday night ;
90 euros including Saturday evening diner and bedding for the two nights from friday to sunday. ;
the price is reduct by 5 euros for anybody subscribing before the 1st of march 2009.

Accomodations

A quick lunch on Saturday and sunday are included to the subscription fees. The other accomodations are dependent to the subscriptions options selected.

Safety and required equipment

Participators must ensure they possess the necessary equipment to take part in the many proposed events :

Clothing and sport shoes adapted to indoor use.
Wood or metal training weapons (no sharp weapon or decoration weapon; only weapons of the same type shall be used by training partners)
Protective gear are obviously highly recommended (fencing mask, groin guard, gloves, etc.) and could be mandatory for some workshops. Organizers can provide only a few training weapon or protective equipment; therefore you'd better manage to have your own.

All unsafe or uncautious behaviour will immediatly result in the exclusion of the perpetrator from the workshop.
